Sh1g1 (Shyguy) is a Brooklyn based hip-hop artist with a lot to say. Born to two hardworking haitian immigrants, Sh1g1 straddles generations and cultures while reflecting on the struggles of youth. Raised on a mix of glam-rock, motown and 90s hip-hop, Sh1g1 plays with all sorts of genres in an effort to get his thoughts out.
CHANGE.
Sh1g1 is always on the move, listening to new and old releases while searching for inspiration. Crate-digging and web surfing has lead to his inventive sound, which combines old world instrumentals with new school beats and flows. From the garage rock inspired “I THINK IM COOL NOW” to the boombap influenced “UFOs”, Sh1g1’s sound can never be tied down.
